We are very proud of the fact that our soaps are therapeutic, beautifully fragranced, decorative and above all personalized for every body. Due to the nature of the soapmaking process & the uniqueness of each batch, colour may vary.
The main ingredient, our glycerin soap base (imported from the U.K.) is produced from the highest quality double distilled and deodorized clear coconut oil, forming luxurious lather and sparkling clarity, and is specially formulated, tested and certified for soap making. It is also a certified Kosher and Vegan product which is GMO-free and allergen-free and contains no alcohol or harmful products to dry your skin. Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture out of the air to benefit skin health. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy skin. And, since we don't use animal oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. Our soaps' ingredients are clearly listed.
All our soaps are Gluten Free except the few which contain a small amount of Oatmeal.
All our soaps are Vegan, except the few with Goats Milk, Emu oil, Lanolin and/or Honey.
None of our products or their individual ingredients have been tested on animals.

Vegetable Glycerin Soaps | The Science & Your Health
Glycerol (also called glycerine or glycerin) is a simple polyol compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic.
Due to having antimicrobial and antiviral properties it is widely used in FDA approved wound and burn treatments.
The Red Cross reports that an 85% solution of glycerin shows bactericidal and antiviral effects, and wounds treated with glycerin show reduced inflammation.
Glycerol is a component of glycerin soap. Essential oils and fragrance oils can be added for fragrance. This kind of soap is used by people with sensitive, easily irritated skin because it prevents skin dryness with its moisturizing properties. It draws moisture up through skin layers and slows or prevents excessive drying and evaporation.
Soap is created by mixing fats and oils with a base, as opposed to detergent which is created by combining chemical compounds.
Humans have used soap for cleaning for millennia. Evidence exists of the production of soap-like materials in around 2800 BC in ancient Babylon.
For making natural hand & body soaps, triglycerides (oils and fats) are derived from coconut, olive, or palm oils.
Triglyceride is the chemical name for the triesters of fatty acids and glycerin.

Fragrance Oils designed for soap making are generally not natural, they are made out of synthetic aroma chemicals, all of which have been fully tested for safety, allergens and skin irritancy by the research institute for fragrance materials. So, why do we use fragrance oil? Well they're fun! We can get all kinds of things you can't get in nature like chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, really anything you can imagine.
An Essential Oil is an all natural product. It can come from the peels of fruit or the buds of a flower, but we are limited by what can be found in nature, and sometimes just because we can find it in nature doesn't mean it can be made into an essential oil. For example, even though there is such a thing as lilac flowers, they cannot be made into an essential oil (same for strawberry, raspberry and many other things).
We start with a 100% vegetable glycerin base, then we add extra ingredients that are healthy and moisturizing for the skin. So, basically a bar with all of the “good” and none of the “bad” which looks and smells amazing, so you can get clean and moisturized all in one step.

Caring for Handmade Soap
Now that you’ve decided on your favourite scent (or scents!), here are a few tips to getting the most enjoyment from your new handmade soap.
Our handmade soaps have a 100% natural glycerin content, which is great for your skin - but it also means the soap requires a place to dry out between uses. The glycerin attracts water and if left in standing water, the soap will start to break down. To prolong the lifespan of your soap, do not allow it to sit in a dish or container that is bowl-shaped, or that allows water to pool in the bottom. Also, beware of those indentations built into some showers as "soap dishes", unless yours drains properly.
Instead, be sure to store your soap in a dry place out of the stream of water, and on a draining soap dish. A slatted wood or bamboo soap dish is ideal because it wicks water away from the soap, allowing the soap to dry properly. Alternatively, a "soap saver" (an oval disk with raised nubs) placed in the bottom of your favorite soap dish should keep it high and dry.
Unused soaps should to be stored in a cool, dry place. A linen closet is great (plus, the soap will make your linens smell good!).
Precautions: As with any soap, keep it out of your eyes or it will sting (rinse thoroughly with plain water if this occurs), and discontinue using if irritation develops. Be sure to check the ingredients if you have allergies. Be aware that some soaps have ingredients that may bother sensitive skin (cinnamon, citrus, mint, etc.), and that exfoliants can be scratchy. Soap is slippery when wet, so take care not to step on a wet bar while in the shower. And finally, we know the soaps smell really good, but please do not eat the soap.
