Due to the nature of the soapmaking process & the uniqueness of each batch, colour may vary. The main ingredient, our glycerin soap base (imported from the U.K.) is produced from the highest quality double distilled and deodorized clear coconut oil, forming luxurious lather and sparkling clarity, and is specially formulated, tested and certified for soap making. It is also a certified Kosher and Vegan product which is GMO-free and allergen-free and contains no alcohol or harmful products to dry your skin. Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture out of the air to benefit skin health. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy skin. And, since we don't use animal oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. Our soaps' ingredients are clearly listed. All our soaps are Gluten Free except the few which contain a small amount of Oatmeal. All our soaps are Vegan, except the few with Goats Milk, Emu oil, Lanolin and/or Honey. None of our products or their individual ingredients have been tested on animals. None of our products contains sodium laurel, lauryl or laureth sulphate. Vegetable Glycerin Soaps | The Science & Your Health Glycerol (also called glycerine or glycerin) is a simple polyol compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic. Due to having antimicrobial and antiviral properties it is widely used in FDA approved wound and burn treatments. The Red Cross reports that an 85% solution of glycerin shows bactericidal and antiviral effects, and wounds treated with glycerin show reduced inflammation. Glycerol is a component of glycerin soap. Essential oils and fragrance oils can be added for fragrance. This kind of soap is used by people with sensitive, easily irritated skin because it prevents skin dryness with its moisturizing properties. It draws moisture up through skin layers and slows or prevents excessive drying and evaporation. Soap is created by mixing fats and oils with a base, as opposed to detergent which is created by combining chemical compounds. Humans have used soap for cleaning for millennia. Evidence exists of the production of soap-like materials in around 2800 BC in ancient Babylon. Fragrance Oils designed for soap making are generally not natural, they are made out of synthetic aroma chemicals, all of which have been fully tested for safety, allergens and skin irritancy by the research institute for fragrance materials. So, why do we use fragrance oil? Well they're fun! We can get all kinds of things you can't get in nature like chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, really anything you can imagine.

An Essential Oil is an all natural product. It can come from the peels of fruit or the buds of a flower, but we are limited by what can be found in nature, and sometimes just because we can find it in nature doesn't mean it can be made into an essential oil. For example, even though there is such a thing as lilac flowers, they cannot be made into an essential oil (same for strawberry, raspberry and many other things).

We start with a 100% vegetable glycerin base, then we add extra ingredients that are healthy and moisturizing for the skin. So, basically a bar with all of the “good” and none of the “bad” which looks and smells amazing, so you can get clean and moisturized all in one step.
